Quest Protein meal replacement shake powders are quite popular for their low-calorie formulation and surprisingly great taste. While it may not be an optimal option for someone who is seeking top-notch nutritional value, it is definitely an option to keep in mind if you’re aiming to lose weight or restrict your calorie intake.

Quest Protein Shake Review

Taste

Quest Protein is marketed heavily on taste, with Quest claiming that their powders taste like a “creamy milkshake” — and according to reviewers, these powders do live up to the hype! The chocolate shake flavor is particularly popular, but these powders also come in flavors like cinnamon crunch and cookies and cream. Reviewers across the board say that the texture is smooth, containing minimal to no grittiness. Some people mix it with almond milk, and others mix it with simply water and ice. Regardless of what you mix it with, the consensus is there: This shake consistently  tastes great!

Ingredients

We’ve established that Quest Protein shakes taste amazing, but a meal replacement shake with such good flavor surely contains a lot of sugar, right? As it turns out, no! Quest Protein formulas contain 0g of sugar and no artificial sweeteners.

All in all, Quest Protein contains 3g of carbs and 0g of fat per serving. It is therefore incredibly low in calories—only 100 calories per serving. 22g of protein are nestled into those 100 calories, making this a great shake for those seeking to lose weight. This shake’s protein content will satisfy your hunger, while the low calorie count will help you limit your calorie intake.

If weight loss is not your goal, Quest Protein may not be the meal replacement shake for you. Nutritionally speaking, it doesn’t contain significant amounts of anything other than protein. It is not made with superfoods, so you don’t get the benefit of those. Even the fiber content is underwhelming compared to other meal replacement shakes: only 1g per serving.

The ingredients used to produce the Quest Protein shake line are not organic, but at the same time these shakes no controversial ingredients. Quest does, however, make a point of noting that their formulas contain no added soy ingredients. Soy is a common addition among protein shakes, so this is a point in Quest’s favor with anyone who is allergic to soy.

Pricing

Quest Protein is one of the best-priced meal replacement shakes on the market. It provides a quality weight loss-oriented formula at a very affordable price of $1.25 per serving. This, combined with its widely-liked taste, makes it a very good option for those who are just delving into the world of protein shakes for the first time. It’s an accessible option for those who aren’t ready to spend a hefty amount on the likes of Shakeology.

Conclusion

Quest Protein meal replacement shake powders are low-calorie while managing to keep a widely complimented flavor. It’s a formula that’s fantastic for weight loss, but definitely not meant for anyone seeking rich nutrition. Its affordability and great flavor make it a great introduction to meal replacement shakes.
